My name is Burcin Feda. I have been doing photography since 2019. She was born in the Republic of Moldova. I spent my childhood in a small Gagauz village, where I was strongly attached to nature and to my grandmother. This connection remains the same. After graduating from a university in Turkey with a degree in photography and cinematography, she began shooting in a free and experimental genre, focusing on her own self-portraits, experiences and trying to find her identity through the world of photographs. Masters like Man Ray, Dora Maar, Jean Cocteau, Maya Derain and Andrei Tarkovsky played a big role in my creative path. For a long time inspired by them, the world of dreams and dreams, I took a series of self-portraits, which I dedicated in honor of the memory of my grandmother. It was important for me to show the wandering state of man and his eternally restless soul.
Photography is one of the tools of self–expression, which is still mysterious to me and conceals the beauty of the universe. Thus, by immersing myself in photography, I want to reveal my personal secrets. When the blood of several nations flows in you, you speak three languages and you only begin to grope for your roots, past and culture, then, as a native speaker of all this, I want to capture what is so difficult to express in words - using the language of images.
